Die Wirtschaftstätigkeit unterliegt Schwankungen, die sich über mehrere Jahre hinweg in Phasen stärkeren und langsameren (oder sogar rückläufigen) Wachstums abwechseln. Diese Abfolge von Aufwärts- und Abwärtsbewegungen wird als Konjunkturzyklus bezeichnet. Diese Zeitreihe enthält nur einige der wichtigsten Konjunkturindikatoren auf monatlicher Basis: - Gesamtübersicht der BNB-Konjunkturumfrage: Jeden Monat fordert die BNB ein Panel von etwa 3.000 Unternehmern an. Die gewichteten Einzelantworten im Rahmen der Konjunkturumfrage werden zur Erstellung von Indikatoren verarbeitet. Die Antworten auf eine Reihe von Fragen werden zu einem synthetischen Konjunkturbarometer der Nationalbank zusammengefasst. Dabei handelt es sich sowohl um einen saisonbereinigten Bruttokonjunkturindikator als auch um einen geglätteten Indikator, der den fundamentalen Trend widerspiegelt. - Index der industriellen Produktion ohne Baugewerbe (Sektoren: Bergbau und Gewinnung von Steinen und Erden, verarbeitendes Gewerbe sowie Erzeugung und Verteilung von Strom, Gas, Dampf und Klimaanlagen): Der Index der industriellen Produktion ermöglicht es, die Entwicklung des Volumens in Bezug auf die Wertschöpfung zu Faktorkosten für einen bestimmten Bezugszeitraum zu verfolgen. Die Wertschöpfung zu Herstellungspreisen wird insbesondere anhand der PRODCOM-Erhebung berechnet. Dieser Index zeigt saisonbereinigte Werte mit 2015 als Basisjahr (2015 = 100). - Unbeschäftigte Arbeitsuchende in Einheiten: Diese Variable gibt die Zahl der Personen an, die am Ende des Monats als „Arbeitssuchende“ gemeldet waren (Arbeitssuchende, die Leistungen beantragt haben, junge Menschen, die sich in einem Praktikum zur beruflichen Eingliederung befinden, frei gemeldete Arbeitsuchende und andere nicht erwerbstätige Arbeitsuchende, die pflichtgemäß gemeldet sind). - Leistungsbilanzsaldo - Zahlungsbilanz (in Mio. EUR): Die Zahlungsbilanz besteht aus drei Hauptteilen: Leistungsbilanz, Vermögensübertragungskonto und Finanztransaktionskonto. Die Leistungsbilanz und die Vermögensübertragungsbilanz bestimmen das Risiko einer Volkswirtschaft gegenüber der übrigen Welt, während die Finanzierungsrechnung ihre Finanzierungsweise erläutert." @default.

This succession of bullish and bearish movements is called the business cycle. This time series shows only some of the main short-term indicators on a monthly basis: - Overall summary curve of the NBB business and consumer survey: Each month, the NBB calls for a panel of around 3,000 business leaders. Weighted individual responses in the Business and Consumer Survey are processed to construct indicators. The answers to a series of questions are grouped together to form the National Bank's summary business barometer. It is both a seasonally adjusted gross business cycle indicator and a smoothed indicator reproducing the fundamental trend. - index of industrial production excluding construction (sectors: mining and quarrying, manufacturing and the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning): the index of industrial production makes it possible to monitor changes in volume, in terms of value added at factor cost, for a given reference period. Value added at basic prices is calculated in particular through the PRODCOM survey. This index shows seasonally adjusted values with 2015 as base year (2015 = 100). - Unoccupied jobseekers in units: this variable represents the number of people registered as ‘jobseekers’ at the end of the month (jobseekers who have applied for benefits, young people undergoing work placements, freely registered jobseekers and other unoccupied jobseekers who must be registered). - Current account balance - balance of payments (in EUR million): the balance of payments comprises three main parts: the current account, the capital account and the financial account. The current and capital account balances determine an economy’s exposure to the rest of the world, while the financial account explains how it is financed." @default.

L’activité économique connaît des fluctuations, alternant, lorsqu’on l’observe sur plusieurs années, des périodes de croissance plus forte et plus lente (ou même de repli). Cette succession de mouvements haussiers et baissiers s’appelle le cycle conjoncturel. Cette série chronologique ne reprend que quelques-uns des principaux indicateurs conjoncturels sur une base mensuelle : - Courbe synthétique globale de l'enquête de conjoncture de la BNB : chaque mois, la BNB sollicite un panel composé d’environ 3.000 chefs d’entreprise. Les réponses individuelles pondérées données dans le cadre de l’enquête de conjoncture sont traitées pour construire des indicateurs. Les réponses à une série de questions sont groupées pour former le baromètre conjoncturel synthétique de la Banque nationale. Il s’agit aussi bien d’un indicateur de conjoncture brut corrigé des variations saisonnières que d’un indicateur lissé reproduisant la tendance fondamentale. - indice de la production industrielle hors construction (secteurs : industries extractives, industrie manufacturière et production et distribution d'électricité, de gaz, de vapeur et d'air conditionné) : l'indice de la production industrielle permet de suivre l'évolution du volume, en termes de valeur ajoutée à coût de facteurs, pour une période de référence donnée. La valeur ajoutée aux prix de base est calculée par le biais notamment de l’enquête PRODCOM. Cet indice présente des valeurs désaisonnalisées avec 2015 pour année de base (2015 = 100). - Demandeurs d’emploi inoccupés en unités : cette variable représente le nombre de personnes inscrites en tant que « demandeurs d’emploi » à la fin du mois (demandeurs d’emploi ayant introduit une demande d’allocations, les jeunes en stage d'insertion professionnelle, les demandeurs d’emploi librement inscrits et autres demandeurs d’emploi inoccupés obligatoirement inscrits). - Solde du compte des opérations courantes - balance des paiements (en millions d’euros) : la balance des paiements comporte trois grandes parties : le compte des opérations courantes, le compte de capital et le compte d’opérations financières. La balance du compte des opérations courantes et du compte de capital détermine l’exposition d’une économie au reste du monde, tandis que le compte d’opérations financières explique son mode de financement." @default.

De economische activiteit kent golfbewegingen, waarbij bekeken over meerdere jaren, periodes van sterkere en tragere groei (of zelfs krimpende economische activiteit) elkaar afwisselen. Die opeenvolging van opgaande en neergaande beweging is de conjunctuurcyclus. In deze tijdreeks worden enkele belangrijke conjunctuurindicatoren op maandbasis opgenomen: - Gezamenlijke synthetische curve conjunctuurenquête NBB: Maandelijks wordt een panel van ongeveer 3.000 bedrijfsleiders gecontacteerd door de NBB. De gewogen individuele antwoorden uit de conjunctuurenquête worden verwerkt tot indicatoren. De antwoorden op een selectie van vragen leiden tot de synthetische conjunctuurbarometer van de Nationale Bank. Het betreft zowel een seizoengezuiverde bruto conjunctuurindicator als een afgevlakte indicator die de fundamenteel tendens weergeeft. - indexcijfer van de industriële productie zonder bouw (sectoren: winning delfstoffen, industrie en productie en distributie van elektriciteit, gas, stoom en gekoelde lucht): met het indexcijfer van de industriële productie is het mogelijk de evolutie in volume van de toegevoegde waarde tegen factorkosten over een gegeven referentieperiode op te volgen. Via onder andere de Prodcom-enquête wordt de toegevoegde waarde tegen basisprijzen berekend. Deze index toont seizoensgezuiverde waarden met als basisjaar 2015 (2015=100). - Niet-werkende werkzoekenden in eenheden: deze variabele geeft het aantal personen weer die ingeschreven zijn als 'werkzoekende' op het einde van de maand (i.e. werkzoekenden met werkloosheidsuitkeringsaanvraag, jongeren in de beroepsinschakelingstijd, vrij ingeschreven niet-werkende werkzoekenden en andere verplicht ingeschreven niet-werkende werkzoekenden). - Saldo lopende rekening betalingsbalans (in miljoenen euro's): de betalingsbalans bestaat uit drie grote blokken: de lopende rekening, de kapitaalrekening en de financiële rekening. Het saldo van de lopende en de kapitaalrekening geeft de positie van de economie ten opzichte van het buitenland weer, terwijl de financiële rekening duidelijk maakt hoe deze wordt gefinancierd." @default.
