The reuse of this present dataset is restricted to non-commercial to comply with the respective licenses from the data providers of the corpus examples used in the files “HypotheticalMannerClauses_BNC.csv” and “HypotheticalMannerClauses_CGN.csv”, i.e. the British National Corpus (BNC) and the Corpus Gesproken Nederlands (CGN) respectively. (1) In the file “HypotheticalMannerClauses_BNC.csv”, the contents of the leftmost column “Example” (column A) are extracts from the British National Corpus (XML edition; http://www.natcorp.ox.ac.uk/), distributed by the University of Oxford on behalf of the British National Corpus Consortium, which holds all rights. We accept the terms and conditions specified in the BNC User Licence: https://llds.ling-phil.ox.ac.uk/llds/xmlui/page/licence-bnc. In publishing our BNC dataset, we rely on the fair dealings provision of the UK Copyright Law. The BNC User Licence does not permit commercial reuse of the content of the corpus. (2) In the file “HypotheticalMannerClauses_CGN.csv”, the contents of the leftmost column “Example” (column A) are extracts from the Corpus Gesproken Nederlands (CGN), distributed by the Dutch Language Institute (Instituut voor de Nederlandse Taal – INT). These extracts are available under the terms of use described https://taalmaterialen.ivdnt.org/wp-content/uploads/voorwaarden/voorwaarden_corpus-gesproken-nederlands-cgn.pdf; an English translation of these terms of use is to be found in the enclosed PDF (CGN_licence-agreement_non-commercial-use_English-version.pdf).
