Les Archives de l'État, les universités de Gand (Groupe de recherche sur les médias, l'innovation et les technologies de la communication; Le Centre d’Humanités Numériques de Gand) et Namur (Centre de Recherche en Information, Droit et Société) et l’Université de Bruxelles-Brabant (Unité de Recherche et de Formation en Sciences de l’Information et de la Documentation) sont partenaires du projet. Dans le cadre de ce projet, un rapport de pointe a été rédigé sur la base d'entretiens par courrier et Skype avec plusieurs organisations de différents pays. Les informations contenues dans cette feuille de calcul sont un résumé des données collectées au cours de cette tâche. Une liste de toutes les organisations impliquées peut être trouvée dans l'onglet "Annexe - Liste des pays et organisations". En 2020, un nouveau projet appelé BESOCIAL (vers une stratégie d'archivage durable des médias sociaux pour la Belgique) a été lancé dans lequel un rapport actualisé sur l'état de l'art sera rédigé en mettant l'accent sur l'archivage des médias sociaux.
