Cette lacune peut s'expliquer par le fait que le couplage des adresses du registre national avec CRAB n'a pas pu être entièrement effectué (adresses manquantes ou inconnues dans CRAB). Pour cette différence, l’ensemble de données est corrigé au niveau des secteurs statistiques sur la base des statistiques du nombre d’habitants par secteur statistique de Statbel. Pour cela, la somme du nombre d'habitants est d'abord faite sur la base des habitants par point d'adresse par secteur. Par la suite, le facteur de cette somme par rapport au nombre d'habitants déclaré est calculé par Statbel. Ce facteur est ensuite appliqué à tous les points résidents. Par exemple, si, dans un secteur donné, 5 % d'habitants en moins sont calculés sur la base du nombre d'habitants par point d'adresse par rapport aux statistiques, le nombre d'habitants sera augmenté de 5 % à chaque point. Ce fichier de points corrigé est ensuite redimensionné à une résolution de 1 ha en faisant la somme du nombre corrigé d'habitants par adresse pour chaque cellule d'hectare. Cette couche de géodonnées a été remplacée en 2021 par une version révisée pour la condition 2013, afin de rester conforme à la méthode ajustée utilisée dans la mise en page de la condition 2019. Het totaal aantal inwoners in Vlaanderen volgens dit puntenbestand is een lichte onderschatting ten opzichte van het werkelijke aantal inwoners in Vlaanderen zoals gerapporteerd door de FOD Economie. Dit tekort kan worden verklaard doordat de koppeling van de adressen uit het Rijksregister met CRAB niet volledig kon worden uitgevoerd (ontbrekende of onbekende adressen in CRAB). Voor dit verschil wordt de dataset gecorrigeerd op het niveau van de statistische sectoren op basis van de statistieken van het aantal inwoners per statistische sector van Statbel. Hiervoor wordt eerst de som gemaakt van het aantal inwoners op basis van de inwoners per adrespunt per sector. Vervolgens wordt de factor berekend van deze som ten opzichte van het gerapporteerde aantal inwoners door Statbel. Deze factor wordt vervolgens toegepast op alle inwonerspunten. Indien in een bepaalde sector bijvoorbeeld 5% minder inwoners worden berekend op basis van het puntenbestand met inwoners per adrespunt ten opzichte van de statistiek, wordt op elke puntlocatie het aantal inwoners met 5% verhoogd. Dit gecorrigeerde puntenbestand wordt vervolgens herschaald naar een resolutie van 1 ha door voor iedere hectarecel de som te maken van het gecorrigeerde aantal inwoners per adres. Deze geodatalaag werd in 2021 vervangen door een herwerkte versie voor toestand 2013, om conform te blijven met de bijgestelde methode die gehanteerd werd bij de opmaak van toestand 2019. Die Standorte der Adressen werden durch eine Geokodierung der Adressen auf Basis von CRAB (CRAB-Populationsnummern Version 0.1) ermittelt. Die Gesamtzahl der Einwohner in Flandern nach dieser Bewertung ist eine leichte Unterschätzung im Vergleich zur tatsächlichen Einwohnerzahl in Flandern, wie vom FÖD Wirtschaft berichtet. Dieser Mangel lässt sich dadurch erklären, dass die Verknüpfung der Adressen aus dem nationalen Register mit dem CRAB nicht vollständig durchgeführt werden konnte (fehlende oder unbekannte Adressen im CRAB). Anschließend wird der Faktor dieser Summe im Verhältnis zur gemeldeten Einwohnerzahl von Statbel berechnet. Dieser Faktor wird dann auf alle Anwohnerpunkte angewendet. Wenn beispielsweise in einem bestimmten Sektor 5 % weniger Einwohner auf der Grundlage der Einwohnerzahl pro Adresspunkt im Verhältnis zur Statistik berechnet werden, wird die Einwohnerzahl an jedem Punktstandort um 5 % erhöht. Diese korrigierte Punktedatei wird dann auf eine Auflösung von 1 ha umskaliert, indem die Summe der korrigierten Einwohnerzahl pro Adresse für jede Hektarzelle gebildet wird. Diese Geodatenschicht wurde 2021 durch eine überarbeitete Version für den Zustand 2013 ersetzt, um im Einklang mit der angepassten Methode zu bleiben, die im Layout des Zustands 2019 verwendet wurde.
