De 'jonge' grondverschuivingen kunnen ontstaan zijn binnen een grotere, oude grondverschuiving (local reactivering) of op een onaangetaste (niet in het verleden door grondverschuiving aangetaste) locatie. De meeste grondverschuivngen zijn nog steeds onderhevig aan beweging, zichtbaar aan bijvoorbeeld scheefgestelde bomen. De kartering van de grondverschuivingen gebeurde door een combinatie van terreinprospectie en analyse van schaduwkaarten die werden afgeleid van het digitaal hoogtemodel op basis van laserscanning of LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging; OC GIS-Vlaanderen, 2005)." @default.

Dies betrifft sowohl sehr alte Erdrutsche postglazialen Ursprungs, die in die Landschaft integriert sind, als auch relativ junge Erdrutsche, deren Beginndatum bekannt ist (manchmal ungefähr). Die "jungen" Erdrutsche können innerhalb eines größeren, alten Erdrutsches (lokale Reaktivierung) oder an einem nicht betroffenen (in der Vergangenheit nicht von Erdrutschen betroffenen) Ort entstanden sein. Die meisten Erdrutsche unterliegen immer noch der Bewegung, die zum Beispiel für verzerrte Bäume sichtbar ist. Die Kartierung der Erdrutsche erfolgte durch eine Kombination aus Geländeerkundung und Analyse von Schattenkarten, die aus dem digitalen Höhenmodell auf der Grundlage von Laserscanning oder LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging; OC GIS-Vlaanderen, 2005)." @default.
